Technical Publications

Here, you’ll find a few examples of the dozens of technical publications I’ve written.

Technical Note - Visium HD

10x Genomics

Visium HD Spatial Gene Expression assays map whole transcriptome mRNA (Visium HD WT Panel Spatial Gene Expression) and poly(A) RNA (Visium HD 3’ Spatial Gene Expression) expression from tissue sections at single cell scale. This Technical Note introduces key concepts and considerations specific to this technology and discusses the performance of Visium HD assays in terms of resolution and sensitivity.

Technical Note - Designing Custom Xenium Panels

10x Genomics

This document provides specific guidance for selecting genes to include on Xenium add-on panels. 10x Genomics recommends the use of relevant single cell RNA-seq data (ideally, matched single cell data obtained from the same sample or condition) to identify such marker genes and to estimate overall panel performance

Demonstrated Protocol - Visium CytAssist Immunofluorescence

10x Genomics

This protocol guides customers through deparaffinization, decrosslinking, immunofluorescence (IF) staining, and imaging of formalin fixed & paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue for use with 10x Genomics Visium CytAssist Spatial Gene Expression assay.

Technical Note - Visium CytAssist Data Comparison

10x Genomics

This Technical Note informs customers on the differences between assays performed on the Visium CytAssist instrument and the older direct placement assay.

Technical Note - Custom Probe Design

10x Genomics

This Technical Note guides customers through the process of designing and using custom oligonucleotides for use with our Visium and Chromium products.

Technical Note - Visium Imaging Guidelines

10x Genomics

This document shows our customers how to capture the perfect images of their tissue for downstream spatial mapping of mRNA transcripts back to the original tissue. A Kodak moment, for science!

User Guide - Visium Spatial Gene Expression

10x Genomics

My first major written work for 10x Genomics was the creation of the Tissue Optimization User Guide for our exciting Visium spatial transcriptomic product. This hefty (46 pages!) User Guide shows customers how to optimize their tissue samples for spatial library construction.
